We Started With A Question

Back in 2019, three analysts sat in a cramped Perth office wondering why financial reports felt so disconnected from reality. Numbers told stories, but those stories weren't reaching the people who needed them most. So we built something different — not revolutionary, just honest. wersionavelo grew from that simple idea: make analysis accessible without dumbing it down.

How We Work Today

Six years later, we're still figuring things out. But we've learned a few things about presenting financial data in ways that actually help businesses make decisions.

Real Data, Real Context

We don't just throw charts at you. Every analysis includes the context behind the numbers — market conditions, industry benchmarks, and what competitors are actually doing. Started doing this after too many clients asked "but what does this mean for us?"

Conversations Over Templates

Templates are efficient. They're also boring and often miss the point. We spend time understanding what questions you're actually trying to answer. Sometimes that means customizing everything, sometimes it means telling you a standard report will do just fine.

Who's Behind The Reports

Our team isn't huge. We're twelve people who care too much about accuracy and spend way too much time debating the best way to visualize cash flow trends. Here are two of the folks you'll probably talk to first.

Mirela Thornby

Senior Financial Analyst

Mirela joined us in early 2021 after working at two of Perth's larger consulting firms. She got tired of producing reports that looked impressive but didn't help clients make actual decisions. Now she specializes in turning messy financial data into clear narratives. Obsessed with finding patterns others miss.

Client Relations Lead

Saskia's the person who makes sure we're actually answering your questions instead of showing off our analytical skills. She's been with wersionavelo since 2022 and has a talent for translating "we need better insights" into specific, actionable project scopes. Previously worked in banking, which taught her everything about what not to do.

What Guides Our Work

These aren't corporate values plastered on a wall. They're the things that actually influence how we approach projects.

Accuracy Without Perfection

We check our work obsessively. Triple-verify sources, cross-reference data points, and run multiple validation passes. But we also know that waiting for perfect information means missing opportunities. There's a balance between thorough analysis and timely insights — we've gotten better at finding it over the years.

Practical Over Impressive

Fancy dashboards are great. But only if they help you make better decisions. We've learned that sometimes a simple spreadsheet with clear explanations beats an elaborate interactive report. Our job is to present information in whatever format actually gets used — not whatever looks best in our portfolio.
